Marketform relocates underwriter to expand M&A offering in Europe

Specialist Lloyd's underwriter Marketform has relocated Astrid O’Reilly from Singapore to London as it seeks to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) offering within the European markets.

O’Reilly joined Marketform in June 2015 and, having successfully set up Marketform’s Asian platform, will continue to oversee business development in that territory along with the additional responsibilities of developing the Scandinavian and other targeted markets within Europe.

Robert Brown, M&A global practice leader at Marketform, said: “With strong and increasing demand in Europe, Astrid’s relocation and her Nordic language skills will prove instrumental in our servicing of a growing number of Scandinavian clients, and I am very pleased that Astrid has agreed to the expansion of her responsibilities which include looking after both regions whilst based in London.”

The announcement follows on from previous M&A activity this month with Marketform’s parent company, Great American Insurance Group, launching a new M&A liability division based in New York, and Robert Brown joining Marketform in London.
