Marsh & McLennan Companies has appointed Ferdinand Jahnel as vice president, treasurer, reporting to senior vice president of corporate finance.

Jahnel will be responsible for global cash management, credit and capital markets activities, and global pensions. He will also be responsible for managing the company’s global commercial banking relationships.

He will be based at Marsh & McLennan’s corporate headquarters in New York City.

Jahnel joins Marsh & McLennan from Henry Schein, where he was vice president, treasurer, with responsibility for all global treasury and risk management activities of the firm. He joined Henry Schein in 2008 in this role.

“I am delighted to welcome Ferdinand to Marsh & McLennan,” said Marsh & McLennan Companies chief financial officer Mike Bischoff. “Ferdinand has tremendous depth of experience in global treasury and brings a wealth of international perspective that is well suited to our long-term growth and capital allocation strategies.”
