MSIG poaches W R Berkley execs for A&H team

MSIG at Lloyd’s, the international specialty arm of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, has appointed Peter Dickel and Nichola Dunne as accident and health (A&H) underwriters.

Reporting to Martin Leeks, class underwriter, liability/accident and health, they will further develop and diversify MSIG’s A&H portfolio with a wider territorial remit and coverage for the professional sports sector.

Dickel brings 20 years’ personal-accident experience in the Lloyd’s market to MSIG, and joins from W R Berkley Syndicate 1967. Dickel, who has worked for a number of other Lloyd’s syndicates and brokers, has a strong track record in diversifying and improving the profitability of A&H portfolios.

Dunne, who has 13 years of A&H experience in the London market, brings broking and underwriting expertise to MSIG. She also joins from W R Berkley Syndicate 1967. Specialising in aviation and marine crew risks, she is also an experienced personal accident underwriter.
