Neon names head of marine
Neon has appointed Angus Wilson as head of marine, effective September 30.
In addition, Wilson will continue his existing role as class underwriter for marine hull and war, reporting to chief underwriting officer Darren Lednor.
As head of marine, Wilson will be responsible for leading a team of six and developing Neon’s marine portfolio, which includes products such as cargo, shipbuilding and offshore construction, marine liability and marine hull and war.
Wilson has over 25 years of marine experience, having previously held roles at Ascot, XL (Brockback) and Chaucer.
Martin Reith, CEO of Neon, commented: “We have identified Marine as a key area of long-term growth for Neon as we move the business forward, and see significant scope to expand our offering in this space. I am therefore delighted to appoint Angus to this new role; he has the right credentials and commitment to support our ambition of becoming a leading player in the Marine market.
“With his strong relationships and exceptional levels of technical and industry expertise, Angus’ appointment is testament to the level of talent within the business and Neon’s aim to grow by promoting internal expertise while also recruiting high-calibre individuals from the market.”
