Novae appoints non-exec director

London-based underwriting company Novae Group has appointed Andrew Torrance as an independent non-executive director, to take effect from 1 March 2016.

Andrew has over 20 years' experience within the insurance industry, latterly as president and chief executive officer of the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.

Previously, Torrance was chief executive at Allianz Insurance and he still holds a number of non-executive directorships within the Allianz Group.
