Probitas 1492 poaches Zurich exec for senior underwriter role
Lloyd’s syndicate Probitas 1492 has expanded its casualty offering with the appointment of Ernesto Medina within its financial lines team.
Medina will join Probitas as senior underwriter, financial institutions within the company’s casualty team.
Reporting to Neila Buurman, chief underwriting officer, casualty, he joins Paul Nolan, senior underwriter, professional indemnity and James Andlaw, senior underwriter, management liability.
Medina was previously a senior financial institutions underwriter at Zurich. He has experience of underwriting a large portfolio of international banks, asset managers and private equity and hedge funds.

He brings with him, not only exceptional global financial institution knowledge, but also essential local understanding required to successfully continue our penetration of high growth markets worldwide.
