Ryan Specialty appoints new chief underwriter at MGU Concord

Ryan Specialty Group’s RSG Underwriting Managers has appointed key executives to grow its transactional risk insurance and loss mitigation specialist  Concord Specialty Risk.

Rustin Paul (pictured) has been promoted to Concord’s chief underwriting officer, RWI (representations and warranties insurance). Ilan Peress has been named chief marketing & administration officer, and Connor Fitzpatrick as Concord’s manager, RWI analysts.

Paul was a partner at Blank Rome prior to joining Concord. He is said to have helped train and guide Concord’s analysts and underwriters through a period of growth in staff and refinement of processes, forms, and protocols.

Peress previously worked at KPMG, M&A Tax Services, and Fitzpatrick at Berkely Research Group.

David De Berry, CEO of Concord Specialty Risk, said: “ Concord has recruited and developed top talent that enables Concord to be responsive to the needs of clients engaged in extraordinary transactions and their legal and insurance advisors.
