Skuld SPA Agora hires head of direct and facultative

Marine insurance provider Skuld has hired Peter Coleman from Pembroke Syndicate 4000 as head of direct and facultative (D&F) of Agora, the special purpose arrangement it formed in January under the leadership of Mike Pritchard.

Coleman will be supported by underwriters Neil Wren and Anthony Strain.

Its international treaty team is led by James Blackwell, who joined in June as head of treaty, alongside Mathew Storr as deputy head.

Sean Sawyer joined the company as managing director in November 2015.

The SPA of Skuld Syndicate 1897 specialises in the property D&F and treaty markets. They recently gained Lloyd’s approval for its 2017 business plan with £60 million.
