Beazley cyber line lifts US guru as it plots drive for global mid-caps
Specialist insurer Beazley lifted its top US cyber guru to lead a global foray into cyber lines at a more mid-market level.
Patricia Kocsondy, Beazley's to-date head of US cyber and technology, takes the newly created role of head of global cyber digital risks with a mandate to “target the specific needs of the sub $250 million segment of companies in an easily accessible and highly digitised way.”
The announcement fits a message that has been increasingly audible from Beazley, which sees growth opportunities increasingly outside the more saturated US large-cap segment.
The goal, as Beazley describes the appointment, will be to bring together the expertise gained handling “high-touch, large business cyber risks” with the digital approach that Beazley’s Digital division delivers for “a seamless service to this important segment of businesses.”
Beazley will be launching a search to fill Kocsondy's post in the US “immediately,” the firm said.
