American International Group (AIG) has appointed Cindy Leggett-Flynn as senior vice president and chief communications officer.
Leggett-Flynn will report to Jeffrey Hurd, executive vice president, chief operating officer.
“Cindy arrives at AIG at a very important time as we continue the transformation of our company, and are on our way towards fulfilling our vision of becoming our clients’ most valued insurer,” said Peter Hancock, AIG president and chief executive officer.
“Cindy is a well-respected, results-driven strategic communications professional with a lead-by-example management style and more than twenty years of working with global companies. Her skills and experience will help AIG achieve its business, policy, and communications goals.”
Prior to AIG, Leggett-Flynn was a New York-based partner of a communications consultancy, Brunswick Group. She previously was a managing partner for Greater China, based in Hong Kong, where she managed the firm’s offices in Hong Kong, Bejing and Shanghai and advising both multinational corporations operating in Asia and Asian companies operating overseas.
