AXIS Capital attracts Zurich veteran to head cyber risk advisory

Bermuda-based  AXIS Capital has tapped a senior Zurich executive to lead its cyber risk advisory, in an effort to build greater awareness and preparedness around current and emerging cyber risks.

AXIS has appointed David Shluger as head of cyber risk advisory.

Schluger will oversee an “ambitious strategy” to elevate its programme of cyber risk advisory products and services. AXIS believes his background in cyber and his skill at working collaboratively across multiple disciplines to get the best outcome will be a significant asset.

Schluger was previously at Zurich from 2009 until this year and was vice president of cybersecurity services for Zurich Resilience Solutions.

Schluger will report to head of global cyber and technology Lori Bailey, who said: “I’m delighted David has taken on this pivotal role as we realise the significant opportunity to deliver stand-out risk advisory and engineering products and services to our partners and customers.”
