DUAL North America nabs CNA talent in rapid casualty build-up
DUAL North America, a part of Howden Group Holdings’ specialist underwriting arm DUAL Group, has plucked a professional liability leader from CNA Specialty as head of its own specialty casualty lines following hot on the heels of a chief casualty officer placement.
Tricia Loney (pictured) will step in as head of specialty casualty after stints as assistant vice president of professional liability program development for CNA Specialty and senior director at Nationwide E& S/Specialty.
DUAL likes Loney’s experience in “successfully mitigating and course correcting large program portfolios.”
Loney will lead on commercial auto, construction, environmental liability, excess liability, and worker’s compensation programs.
Announcement follows hot on the heels of word that Dual had taken Connie Germano from Everest to become chief casualty officer at DUAL. Loney will report to Germano as she helps
expand DUAL’s specialty casualty offerings.
Connie Germano, chief casualty officer, DUAL North America, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Tricia to our team. With her strong track record in cross-functional partnerships, extensive expertise in Specialty Casualty and her proven ability to drive strategic growth, we are confident that Tricia will play a vital role in advancing DUAL Casualty’s vision. We already have an impressive suite of Casualty products available to our clients, and Tricia joining the team will undoubtedly strengthen our capabilities in the market and our ability to provide innovative solutions to our network.”
Loney added: “Having partnered with DUAL on various projects over my career, I am looking forward to being part of the team growing the Casualty business. We have a wealth of talented people in the division, and I see a lot of potential in what we can do together. I am excited to work with the team to further strengthen our Specialty Casualty offering and delivering innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of our partners.”
