Generali terminates contract of group chief insurance officer

Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali has announced on Oct. 18 that its board of directors has resolved to terminate the working relationship with group chief insurance officer Valter Trevisani by mutual agreement.

The managing director and group CEO, Philippe Donnet, will assume the role with immediate effect on an interim basis. Trevisani will leave the group on Oct. 31.

The company has also appointed Isabelle Conner, group chief marketing & customer officer, and Monica Alessandra Possa, group chief HR & organisation officer, to its group management committee (GMC).

Donnet said: "I thank Valter Trevisani for his profound commitment and for the great work he accomplished at Generali and I am happy to announce the expansion of the GMC with the addition of two excellent professionals, who are responsible for Marketing and HR, which are functions of strategic importance to the Group."

Generali stated that the conditions for the termination of the working relationship were approved by the appointments and remuneration committee and are in line with the group remuneration policy approved by the shareholder meeting.
