Lancashire recruits former Man Group exec
Lancashire has appointed Peter Clarke, formerly group chief executive of alternative investment business Man Group, as a non-executive director.
He will assume the role on June 9, 2014 and will become a member of Lancashire’s audit and investment committees.
Clarke was chief executive of Man Group between April 2007 and February 2013, having joined in 1993. He was appointed to the board in 1997 and served in a variety of roles, including head of corporate finance and corporate affairs and group company secretary before becoming the group finance director in 2000.
Martin Thomas, Lancashire’s chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Peter to Lancashire as a non-executive director. Peter further strengthens the Lancashire board with his broad portfolio of practical leadership skills and experience combined with his intellectual and strategic talents. The board has appointed Peter as a member of our audit and investment committees."
