Novae promotes Trueman to role of chief innovation officer

Specialist Lloyd's insurer Novae has appointed Dan Trueman to the role of chief innovation officer. He will retain his position as head of cyber.

In his new position, Trueman will report directly to chief underwriting officer Rob Forster.

The company has created a specific cyber sub-division within the casualty division to leverage opportunities in this class of business.

Forster said: "Novae has emerged as a leading player in the global cyber market and establishing a cyber sub-division will afford us the speed, flexibility and innovation needed to compete in this market.

"Dan in his new role, will continue to raise our profile in the cyber market and we look forward to working with him and his team to grow this class."

Trueman added: "I am delighted to be taking on this new position within Novae; cyber is a rapidly evolving market and we are in a strong position. We have built an excellent cyber offering at Novae thanks to the support and vision of Bob Patten and the senior management team."
