QBE, Australia’s largest global insurer, has appointed James McCauley as regional manager, Victoria and Tasmania, for its broker distribution business, effective June 14.
McCauley takes over from Andrew Borden who was recently appointed to the role of general manager workers compensation.
McCauley has more than 30 years of experience in insurance, including both underwriting and broking.
He has been with QBE for the past six years, most recently as national relationship manager, where he developed valued partnerships with key national brokers.
Jason Clarke, QBE Australia’s executive general manager, intermediary distribution, said: “James has an excellent reputation in the broker market and we are fortunate to have him take up this key role in our broker distribution business.
