Insurance outsourcing firm Quindell has appointed Mark Williams as group finance director following the disposal of its professional services division to Slater and Gordon.
According to Quindell, Williams has been working as an integral member of the consultancy team appointed to assist the board in January 2015.
He succeeds Laurence Moorse, who will step down from the board at completion of the disposal but will remain available to the board and the finance team.
Williams has operated at board level for the past 15 years, including roles at AXA, Cofunds, Guardian Royal Exchange, Legal & General, Old Mutual and Skandia.
Quindell is still searching for a group chief executive officer to replace Robert Fielding, who will transfer to Slater and Gordon.
Richard Rose, non-executive chairman designate, said: "Mark has been working with the Group for a number of months and has been assisting the board on a number of work streams. This experience will help him hit the ground running and we are delighted to welcome Mark to this new phase in the company's history."
