Tokio Marine Kiln appoints CUO of Lloyd’s platform
Tokio Marine Kiln, the dual platform provider of specialist and corporate insurance, has promoted Paul Culham to chief underwriting officer (CUO) of its Lloyd’s platform.
Culham has served at the firm since 1987 and has served as active underwriter of the marine & special risks and enterprise risk divisions within Lloyd’s Syndicate 510 since 2007 and 2011 respectively.
He succeeds Richard Lewis, who will remain at the firm, but will now concentrate on underwriting performance and making sure the delivery of the group strategy is successful.
Peter Merton will succeed Culham as active underwriter of both the marine & special risks and enterprise risks divisions.
Charles Franks, group chief executive officer of TMK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Paul to this pivotal role to lead the underwriting strategy for our Lloyd’s platform, where his substantial experience and in-depth knowledge will be an excellent addition to the executive team."
