Willis Towers Watson hires regional senior exec from Marsh USA
Willis Towers Watson has hired a senior executive from Marsh USA into the role of corporate risk and broking market leader for its Metro DC/Chesapeake market.
Ken Smith will be responsible for driving growth across the company’s business in the market, which includes offices in Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; and Norfolk, VA. He will report to Doug Pera, head of corporate risk and broking, Atlantic South region.
He joins Willis Towers Watson from Marsh USA, where he held a variety of leadership roles, including most recently leader of its Cincinnati, Columbus and Louisville operations. Previously he held various positions within Marsh’s Washington, DC, and Baltimore market.
“Ken is an outstanding leader with a great reputation in the Metro DC area,” Pera said. “We’re confident that with his leadership we will continue to grow our business and attract the best talent in the market.”
