New MGA launches in Cayman Islands
A new managing general agent (MGA) platform has launched in the Cayman Islands.
The new venture, Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group, is headed up by Adrian Lynch as chief executive officer, Graham Mackay as chief financial officer and Ruwan Jayasakera as chief operating officer.
Lynch was previously executive vice president - North America , Bermuda & Cayman at Artex Risk Solutions. Prior to that, he served as managing director of Aon Cayman, as well as captive strategy leader – Americas at Aon.
In a statement on LinkedIn Lynch said: “I am delighted to be partnering with Graham McKay and Ruwan Jayasakera as chief financial officer and chief operating officer respectively on this new venture.
“Our services will support current and incoming Reinsurers to the Cayman Market, as well as the larger complex captives. Subject to Regulatory approval, we will have our own insurance manager supporting clients with real time financial reporting and governance risk and compliance technology.”
