Beazley hire to target Latin America
Beazley has appointed Paul Felfle into its reinsurance team to develop its Latin American business. He will be based in Miami.
Fefle was previously managing director and head of Aon Benfield Analytics Latin America. Prior to that, he was vice president in charge of Latin America and the Caribbean at Everest Re.
Beazley's reinsurance division has been expanding internationally in recent years, establishing underwriters in Munich and Singapore to access business that has not traditionally come to London. With Felfle's appointment in Miami, the company says it aims to expand its footprint in Latin America.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to develop our reinsurance portfolio in Latin America,” said Patrick Hartigan, head of Beazley's reinsurance division.
“We've seen Miami grow in importance as a reinsurance hub with the brokers advancing their analytical capabilities and clients in the region improving their data capture and quality. We believe that a local presence will enable us to provide closer support to regional clients and brokers and gain access to business placed in the Miami reinsurance market. Paul's analytical skills coupled with his experience in business development and underwriting will help to support our growth targets in the region."
