BHSI poaches RSA and Swiss Re execs

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has strengthened its leadership and underwriting team in Asia with two appointments.

Malin Fredriksson has been appointed as Asia regional head of first party lines. She joins from RSA, where she most recently served as underwriting and reinsurance director, Asia, and chief underwriting officer, specialty, Asia.

Kiran Prakash has been appointed Asia regional head of engineering and construction. He joins from Swiss Re where he was most recently served as senior construction, machinery breakdown and power/utilities underwriter in Asia.

Marc Breuil, president of Asia at BHSI, said: "Malin and Kiran have extensive experience in the Asian markets. Their addition to our team reflects BHSI's strategy of moving into areas where we can bring deep expertise to the marketplace. We are delighted to add Malin and Kiran to our team.”
