Ed exec moves to JSSB to build new commercial risks business

London broker J Safra Sarasin Brokerage (JSSB) has recruited a senior executive from Ed (formerly known as Cooper Gay) who has been tasked with building a new commercial risks business at the firm.

William Elborne, previously the director of property/casualty business at Ed, joins J. Safra Sarasin Brokerage as head of commercial risks.

Elborne worked at Ed for more than seven years. Prior to that, he worked as a business director at Aon, was a partner in the risk solutions division of Jardine Lloyd Thompson, and before that held various positions at Marsh.

“The principal reason behind my decision to move to JSSB is the opportunity to build up a new business within the growth market of private banking,” said Elborne.
