Endurance poaches Aon and Tokio agriculture execs

Endurance Speciality has pulled together a team of executives from other companies to build an international agriculture reinsurance unit for the company.

The Bermuda-based re/insurer has hired executives from Aon Benfield and Tokio Millennium Re to underwrite and manage international agriculture reinsurance programmes.

Avery Cook, formerly managing director of global agriculture analytics at Aon Benfield, and Kristopher Lynn, formerly vice president, specialty & casualty lines at Tokio Millennium Re, join the Bermuda office.

Both will report to Peter Mills, head of global specialty and European property & casualty reinsurance.

Mills said: "The addition of this new team is another milestone as we strategically expand our global specialty capabilities, adding new product expertise to our current offerings. With the underwriting talent and analytic proficiency that Avery and Kris bring to Endurance Re, I am confident that we will quickly become a respected leader in the international agriculture reinsurance market."
