FP Marine Risks appoints reinsurance head
FP Marine Risks, a specialist marine insurance broker, has appointed Rupert Morton as head of reinsurance for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
Prior to coming to Australia in 2002, Morton worked as a broker in the marine market at Lloyd’s for 25 years. Since his arrival in the country he has worked as a manager of facultative reinsurance.
“I am delighted to be joining this dynamic team and working on the servicing and growth of FP Marine Risks’ reinsurance account. There is a growing demand for tailored facultative reinsurance amongst many insurers in the region as an integral tool in their portfolio management and development,” said Morton.
“Rupert will be building on FP Marine Risks’ specialty in marine and marine-related risks in the region, furthering existing relationships and developing new ones,” said Andrew Glover, FP Marine Risks ANZ joint regional head.
