IRB Brasil RE appoints president

Brazilian reinsurer IRB Brasil RE has appointed José Carlos Cardoso as president. He succeeds Leonardo Paixão who has served as president since 2010.

Cardoso has served as vice president of the reinsurer since September 2014. Prior to this, he served at SCOR Brazil.

The decision to appoint Cardoso as president was taken at an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors on August 7, 2015.
