JLT unit expands with new hires from Guy Carpenter and UIB

JLT Group's Fac division, which is focused on property, construction and casualty facultative reinsurance, has expanded its team with the appointment of Mark Leonard and Julia Moretti.

Both the executives will be based in JLT’s London office.

Leonard joins as a partner and a senior construction producer. He was most recently at Guy Carpenter for six years after a short time at Willis Towers Watson.

Moretti has been appointed partner and senior casualty producer at JLT Fac. She joins the company from United Insurance Brokers (UIB).

The reinsurance broker JLT Re launched the Fac division in January 2016, led by CEO Vanessa Macdonald-Smith.

"I am delighted we continue to attract such a high calibre of market professionals to our growing team," said Macdonald-Smith. "We continue to expand in size, reputation and recognisable branding. Mark and Julia are great additions to the team as they both have a true focus on clients’ needs and are intent on offering our clients’ innovative and strategic facultative solutions."
