RAA appoints Tad Walker as chair

The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) has appointed Tad Walker, president and chief executive officer of PartnerRe North America, as the chair of its board of directors.

The appointment was confirmed at the industry body’s 45th Annual Meeting of Members held in Sea Island, Georgia, at the end of April.

Tad Montross, chairman and chief executive of General Re Corporation, was also elected vice chair, and Pina Albo, president of Munich Re’s Reinsurance Division, was appointed as secretary-treasurer.

Walker  is  also  chair of  the  Council  of  Reinsurers  and  Brokers, and Robert  Hatcher, national managing director of the US Branch Network of Willis Re, was elected co-chair of the Council of Reinsurers and Brokers.
