SCOR makes two appointments

Reinsurer SCOR has appointed Spencer Alridge as chief compliance officer and Laurent Brémond as human resources director.

Alridge will report to Romain Launay, general secretary and will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 2002 he joined the Transamerica Reinsurance legal department, where he first managed global litigation and arbitration, and then law and compliance for non-US business operations in Asia-Pacific and Latin America, and was appointed deputy general counsel in 2007.

After SCOR acquired the business in 2011, he continued to be responsible for Latin American and Canadian legal matters with SCOR Global Life Americas, where he also assumed responsibility for non-US reinsurance treaty units in 2014.

Brémond will report to Denis Kessler, chairman and chief executive officer of SCOR, and will be based in Paris.

He joins from Faiveley Transport, where most recently he served as human resources and communications director.
