Validus Re appoints head of treaty for LatAm

Validus Re, the reinsurance division of Validus Holdings, has appointed Jorge Beltran as executive vice president, head of treaty of Validus Reaseguros.

Beltran will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Validus Re’s treaty strategy in Latin America. He has been with Validus Reaseguros in Miami since 2007 and has over 23 years of underwriting experience. Prior to that, Beltran held a number of senior positions at various leading companies including Liberty Mutual, SCOR, Swiss Re and Transatlantic.
