CEO of MS Amlin Underwriting at Lloyd's departs; successor named
Andrew McKee, the chief executive officer of MS Amlin Underwriting at Lloyd's, is set to leave the company on Dec. 23.
McKee became the CEO in April 2009, and was tasked with the development of MSILM’s (MS Amlin’s) Syndicate 3210 in Lloyd’s.
“It was important for me to ensure that my MSILM colleagues landed well in our new world and to satisfy myself that the combination of our teams and businesses in Lloyd’s would provide a sound and exciting future for employees,” said McKee.
“I am satisfied with this on both counts and I wish everyone at MS Amlin a successful future.”
Tom Clementi has been promoted to succeed McKee as the new CEO with immediate effect.
Clementi joined the re/insurer in 2007. He was the interim CEO of MS Amlin Underwriting (MSAUL) from December 2015 until the novation of Syndicate 3210 to MSAUL in May 2016, since when he has been deputy CEO of MSAUL.
MS Amlin is a global specialty commercial insurer and reinsurer with operations in the Lloyd’s, UK, Continental European and Bermudian markets.
Comprising Mitsui Sumitomo’s London and Bermuda-based operations and the historic Amlin businesses, MS Amlin specialises in providing insurance cover for a wide range of risks to commercial enterprises and reinsurance protection to other insurers around the world.
