TigerRisk appoints ex-Aon exec to London retro role

Reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm TigerRisk Partners has appointed Jonathan Hughes as partner from re/insurance broker Aon.

Hughes was most recently a senior broker at Aon specialising in retro and other protections for Lloyd’s Syndicates. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president and actuarial lead for the London Market specialty lines division at AXIS.

In his new role, Hughes will work from TigerRisk’s London office, reporting to Alex Bridges, head of TigerRisk’s retro team.

“Jonathan has a wealth of experience being one of the industry’s foremost retrocession specialists. He will be an invaluable asset to TigerRisk, and more importantly, our clients,” said Rod Fox, CEO of TigerRisk.

Hughes added: “Joining TigerRisk, an innovative and creative organization, will enable me to develop the kind of bespoke programs clients need in this marketplace. Moreover, TigerRisk has the latest technology for analysing and optimizing portfolios.”
