WTW pushes insider to lead North America personal lines business
Global broker WTW has appointed a long-time insider with 30 years of industry experience to lead its personal lines business in North America.
Despina Buganski has been named head of personal lines, Corporate Risk & Broking, North America (CRB NA) at WTW.
Previously serving as chief operating officer for the personal lines business, Buganski will manage the operations for WTW’s personal lines business throughout North America. The US and Canadian personal lines teams will report directly to Buganski, who will report to Ionel Rizea, chief commercial officer and head of strategy and execution, CRB NA.
Buganski joined WTW in 2010, she has served as COO for the personal lines business since 2015. In that role, the company said Buganski helped improve organisational efficiency, enhanced operational processes, and increased productivity within the CRB NA business. She maintains an extraordinary network of professionals and executives throughout the personal lines insurance marketplace, WTW noted.
Rizea said: “Despina’s background provides a perfect fit for her to lead the personal lines teams throughout North America. Her extensive market relationships and understanding of unique client challenges affords her the ability to align carrier insurance program options directly with client needs.
