The professional liability lines market in the US, including errors & omissions (E&O) and directors’ & officers (D&O) insurance, remains a very competitive and mixed sector with lines very soft in some areas but healthy and profitable in others.
Nicole Haggerty, president of ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency, a managing general underwriting agency specialising in professional liability lines and owned by Ryan Specialty Group, says the market is as fragmented as she has ever seen it.
ThinkRisk offers three main product lines, each faced with different challenges and opportunities, she says. Its converging risk unit focuses in specialised E&O insurance for media, advertising, technology, privacy and network security specialists. It is offered nationally on a non-admitted basis and underwritten by Aspen.
