A mixed bag in E&O


The professional liability lines market in the US remains a mixed bag and highly competitive but with opportunities and growth for specialist players launching relevant products.

The professional liability lines market in the US, including errors & omissions (E&O) and directors’ & officers (D&O) insurance, remains a very competitive and mixed sector with lines very soft in some areas but healthy and profitable in others.

Nicole Haggerty, president of ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency, a managing general underwriting agency specialising in professional liability lines and owned by Ryan Specialty Group, says the market is as fragmented as she has ever seen it.
