Data provider PERILS said on Aug. 23 that its third loss estimate for windstorm Thomas, also known as Doris, was €249 million.
Cyclone Thomas affected the British Isles, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany on Feb. 23 and 24, 2017.
The loss estimate is unchanged from the previous one issued by PERILS on May 23, 2017. While there are notable changes in loss amounts on a country-by-country basis, the overall event loss figure has remained the same, according to the statement.

6 April 2017 Zurich-based catastrophe insurance data provider PERILS has estimated the initial insured property market loss from extra-tropical cyclone Thomas at €213 million.
