Access invaluable knowledge at the Learning Hub at Airmic

Whether risk managers wish to learn more about social media, driverless cars or blockchain, they should take some time away from their busy schedules and visit the Learning Hub in Exhibit Hall B at this year’s Airmic conference, Steve Anderson, head of international business development at The Institutes, has claimed.

The Learning Hub is sponsored by The Institutes, a provider of training and designations for risk and insurance professionals. More than 37,000 professionals around the world now hold The Institutes’ Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.

“In our busy and distracted world, this unique venue gives you a chance to quickly learn about a wide range of business-critical and of-the-moment topics,” Anderson told Airmic Today.

“What do risk managers need to know about navigating social media? How will technologies such as driverless cars and blockchain change how we manage risk?”

These are just some of the themes that will be covered in the area. Others will include how the UK’s departure from the EU might affect the professional world; the impact of dementia on society; and captives.

“Over the course of three days, speakers will cover 20 different topics, and each talk is 20 minutes or shorter.

“What goes better with a short performance than a bag of fresh popcorn? The Institutes booth will have plenty on hand, so stop by before you head to the nearby Learning Hub,” Anderson said.

The Learning Hub in Exhibit Hall B is open Tuesday 9:30am–5:30pm, and Wednesday 10am–noon.
