ACE appoints MENA MD

ACE has appointed Mojgan Khoshabi as regional managing director for ACE in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

She succeeds Steve Dixon who takes up a new position as special advisor to ACE Overseas General in London.  He will retain his positions on the boards of ACE’s Egypt and Pakistan businesses as well as its Saudi joint venture business.

Khoshabi will continue to be based in ACE’s Bahrain office and will report to Giles Ward, regional president for ACE in Eurasia and Africa.

She previously served as underwriting manager for energy insurance in MENA, after joining ACE in 2011. She has also held the position of deputy general manager for ACE American Insurance Company in Bahrain.

Ward said: “Mojgan’s extensive insurance industry management and underwriting experience across a wide range of risk classes, combined with her excellent market relationships, make this a very well-deserved promotion. I look forward to working with her as we continue to strengthen our partnerships and develop our portfolios across the Middle East and North Africa.

“During the last five years, Steve has contributed greatly to the strengthening ACE’s position as one of the leading reinsurers in MENA. We extremely grateful for his leadership and very pleased that he will continue to make a key contribution to our Middle East and North Africa business.”
