ACE appoints small marine product champion

ACE Group has appointed Paul Littooij, marine manager for ACE in Benelux, to the additional role of European product champion, small marine commercial.

In this role, Littooij will be responsible for the development and growth of ACE’s small commercial marine portfolio across Continental Europe. He will focus on expanding ACE’s online shipment platform, already piloted in Italy, across key European markets, and build new relationships with potential distribution partners.

Littooij will continue to work from ACE’s Rotterdam and Antwerp offices in the new role and will report to Benoît Chasseguet, marine manager for ACE in Continental Europe. He joined ACE in 2008, having previously held a series of marine underwriting, claims and risk engineering roles and has had 25 years of marine insurance industry experience.

Chasseguet said: “Paul’s long marine insurance experience and market knowledge will further enable us to develop new online distribution channels, which are rapidly increasing in importance for the SME segment, and continue to deliver appropriate, comprehensive insurance cover to brokers and their marine clients across Continental Europe.
