Advent hires former Arch exec

Lloyd’s insurer Advent has appointed Perry Bowen as claims adjuster for its marine division.

He will report to Steven Abbott, head of claims and reinsurance administration.

Bowen, a multi-class adjuster with a focus on marine insurance, joins from Arch Insurance Europe where he served as claims manager. In this role, Bowen handled lead marine, property, energy and accident and health claims. He began his career in the Lloyd’s specialist claims unit (later Equitas) in 1994.

Abbott, said: “Perry is a recognised expert in marine claims, particularly in the fine art and specie sector. Appointing market leaders in their respective fields, who go the extra mile in terms of service, is a key part of our strategy to ensure that our offering continues to evolve in recognition of the needs of our clients and brokers.
