AIG looks to insurtech unicorn for Asia Pacific chief risk officer

Global insurer  American International Group (AIG) has hired its new chief risk officer for Asia Pacific (APAC) from a fast-growing insurtech start-up.

Lily Claydon is a Chartered Financial Analyst with more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, insurance, regulatory environments and auditing. She has joined AIG in Singapore as CRO of its APAC business.

Claydon was most recently group head of enterprise risk management at insurtech bolttech, based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she worked at FWD Insurance as group ERM director.

Claydon has also previously worked at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority for more than eight years as a senior prudential supervisor.
