AJG exec appointed chairman of LIIBA

Arthur J Gallagher, the international division of Arthur J Gallagher & Co, has announced that Andrew Agnew, its managing director of specialty and a member of the Executive Committee, has been made chairman of the London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA).  Agnew succeeds Steve Hearn of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford. Agnew has served as deputy chairman of the Association for the past two years. He joined Arthur J Gallagher in May 2011 from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, where he had served as chairman of its London market specialty arm since 2007.
