Alliant hires new leader of SIU division
Alliant Underwriting Solutions has hired long-time catastrophe underwriter Kelley Bernal as senior vice president and senior director of underwriting for its SIU division.
Bernal joins SIU after serving as vice president and senior earthquake underwriter with Catalytic Risk Managers and Insurance Agency, one of the largest independent catastrophe underwriting managers in the US. In this position, Bernal held a leadership role on the firm’s Los Angeles team while underwriting DIC policies using $120 million in domestic and international capacity.
As the new leader of SIU, Bernal will leverage her expertise within the difference in conditions (DIC) market to grow the division’s capacity, reach, and relationships within the brokerage community. She will be based in SIU’s Glendale, California headquarters.
