Allianz appoints Heidi Shepherd as commercial motor portfolio manager

Insurer Allianz has appointed Heidi Shepherd to the post of commercial motor portfolio manager, responsible for the profitable growth of complete mini fleet, taxi and truck products.

Shepherd was most recently commercial motor portfolio underwriter, leading on the development of Allianz’s mini fleet product.

She joined Allianz in 2014 on the commercial insurance graduate scheme and has undertaken a variety of roles across the business including property and casualty underwriter in Woking and executive assistant to Neil Clutterbuck, chief underwriting officer.

Gerry Ross, head of commercial motor, Allianz Insurance, said: “We’re really happy to promote Heidi to this position. She has a wide range of underwriting experience and has gained a thorough understanding of our business and its wider strategy through her role as an EA. It’s an exciting time to be working in Commercial motor and I know Heidi will take on this role with great confidence and ability.”
