Insurer Allianz has confirmed it will reduce the size of its board management following the resignation of a board member.
The board will be reduced to nine members after Manuel Bauer, who is currently responsible for insurance growth markers, resigns on August 31 2015.His contract was originally due to expire at the end of the year.
From September 1, his role will be split between other members of the board of management.
Sergio Balbinot will be responsible for the Middle East, North Africa and India, Dr Axel Theis will take responsibility for Australia, and Dr Werner Zedelius will handle Central and Eastern European operation.
Dr Maximilian Zimmerer will be responsible for Asia, while Oliver Bate, chief executive officer of Allianz, will take responsibility for the group’s human resources function.
