Allianz unit AGCS unveils financial lines promotions

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Alessandro Carriglio as strategy officer of underwriting portfolio management of the Americas, financial lines North America.

Additionally, Gustavo Galrao will take over Carriglio’s former role as regional head of financial lines for South America.

Based in New York City, Carriglio reports to Paul Schiavone, regional head of financial lines North America and regional head of corporate long tail lines and ART.

Carriglio brings extensive background within the Financial Lines business at AGCS, including most recently as the deputy regional head of management liability commercial (MLC) financial lines, North America & regional head of financial lines, South America.

Previously, he was deputy global head of MLC, as part of the CUO office in Munich. Serving in this capacity for the past five years, he focused on worldwide referral underwriting, portfolio management and portfolio steering. Prior to that, Carriglio served as a financial lines MLC manager for Allianz in Milan, Italy.
