Alpiq chief pulls back from candidacy for Zurich Insurance board

Jasmin Staiblin, chief executive officer of Alpiq, has withdrawn her candidacy for election to the board of directors of Zurich Insurance Group.

Staiblin cited the timing of the Zurich appointment as conflicting with her current portfolio of duties.

The board of directors of Zurich will be re-elected and elected by its shareholders at the group’s annual general meeting on April 4.
