Amlin boosts LatAm expertise with Everest Re exec

Amlin has appointed Edward Herrera as senior underwriter, as part of the build out of its Latin America underwriting activities.

Herrera will be based in Amlin's newly opened Miami office and will join the underwriting team led by Louis de Segonzac.

He joins from Everest Re, where he served as vice president of Latin America & Caribbean. Prior to this, he served as senior underwriter of Latin America & Caribbean at Flagstone Re.

De Segonzac said: “We are delighted to be bringing a reinsurance specialist of Edward’s calibre into the team. His market knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we build our presence in the region."
