AmTrust plucks Brit & RiverStone underwriters for property team
Global specialty property/casualty insurer AmTrust Financial Services has plucked underwriters from Brit and RiverStone to major posts in the property line of AmTrust International Specialty.
Andy Camber (Pictured Left) arrives to take a post as lead underwriter and Pete Philpott (Pictured Right) as senior underwriter in the property line of AmTrust International Specialty.
Camber brings more than 25 years of London and Lloyd’s market experience in UK commercial property. He joins from Brit Insurance, where he was class underwriter for more than eight years. Prior to that, he held underwriting roles at Amlin UK and Zurich Insurance.
Philpott brings over 15 years of experience in London Market property, including stints in property at RiverStone, Argo, Amlin UK and Zurich Insurance.
Unit chief underwriting officer Bruce Whitmee commented: “Underwriting specialised property risks is one of AmTrust’s strengths, and I am delighted to welcome Andy and Pete to the team, both of whom have strong records in this field.”
Andy Camber added: “I look forward to contributing to the profitable growth of Property insurance at AmTrust where I will be working closely with the Property teams based in Nottingham, London and Dublin. I am ready to take on the challenge of expanding AmTrust’s Property portfolio in the UK and other European markets.”
