Aon appoints vice president and chief counsel
Aon has appointed Michael Wolf as vice president and chief counsel – corporate. He will provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters. He will also be responsible for the management of all corporate transactions on a global basis. He will report to Peter Lieb, executive vice president and General Counsel of Aon.
“Michael brings the perfect set of skills and experience to achieve success in this role,” said Lieb. “In a world where the magnitude, complexity and speed of risk management have increased exponentially, Michael’s seasoned leadership on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, securities compliance issues, and corporate governance will add tremendous value to our firm. Prior to joining Aon, Wolf was a partner at the law firm of Jenner & Block in Chicago, where he concentrated on corporate and transactional law and led large teams of lawyers in complex transactions, including the sale of General Motors to the US Treasury. Before joining Jenner in 2003 as an associate, Wolf was with Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago.
