Aon Benfield’s marine MD Connolly retires

The managing director of Aon Benfield’s marine practice John Connolly is stepping down to retire after decades with the broker.

“John has been a true statesman in the London market,” said Aon Benfield’s Global ReSpecialty CEO Bob Bisset.

“He was an outstanding advocate for both clients in the marine sector, and for Aon during his tenure spanning over four decades. I was always impressed with his ability to engage and interact with clients and colleagues at all levels from the C-Suite to the most junior member of the team. There will be an irreplaceable gap in the market left by John but we wish him a wonderful and well-deserved retirement,” Bisset added.
